1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern every order placed through SparkleSkin. By placing an order, creating an account, or otherwise using this site, you agree to be bound by them, together with our Privacy Policy, Return & Refund Policy and Shipping Policy, each of which forms part of this agreement.

A contract for a specific order is formed once your payment for that order is authorised — not when you add items to your basket, and not when you reach the payment screen. We may still decline or cancel an order after payment is authorised, in the circumstances described in "Order acceptance and cancellation" below.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your country of residence to place an order with us. If you are placing an order for or on behalf of someone below that age, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and are entering into this agreement on their behalf.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when you create an account or place an order, and to keep it up to date.

3. Product information

We describe our products as accurately as we can, using information and photography from the brands we sell and from our own catalogue. Colours, textures and packaging shown on screen can vary slightly from the physical product because of photography, display settings, and ordinary batch-to-batch differences in cosmetics manufacturing.

Every product we sell is sourced through authorised Korean channels.

None of the product descriptions, ingredient information or usage guidance on this site is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition — see "Sparkle AI, the Beauty Quiz and beauty guidance" below.

4. Prices and currency

Prices are set in US dollars and shown converted into the display currency you choose while browsing, for your reference. At checkout you separately choose the currency your payment is actually settled in, from the options we offer at checkout (currently US Dollars and UAE Dirhams). That is the amount, in that currency, that leaves your account — see "Payment authorisation" below.

We try to keep prices and currency conversions accurate, but errors can happen. If we discover a pricing error on an order that has not yet been dispatched, we will contact you before proceeding and give you the option to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

5. Payment authorisation and settlement currency

Payment is processed by our third-party payment provider. SparkleSkin never collects or stores your full card number; card details are entered directly with the payment provider through its own secure fields.

By placing an order and completing payment, you authorise us to charge the total shown at checkout, in the settlement currency you selected, to the payment method you provide.

Prices shown in a display currency other than the currency you ultimately pay in are indicative only. The amount actually charged is the total confirmed at checkout in your chosen settlement currency, calculated at the exchange rate shown there at that time.

6. Order acceptance and cancellation

We may cancel and refund an order, in whole or in part, if: a product turns out to be unavailable after your order is placed; we identify a pricing or description error; we cannot ship to the address given; the order appears to breach "Fraud prevention and account integrity" below; or we are otherwise unable to fulfil it. Where we cancel an order or part of one, we will refund the amount you paid for the cancelled part, including any shipping charged for it.

7. Shipping

Orders are shipped from South Korea to destinations worldwide. Delivery methods, typical transit times and shipping costs are described in our Shipping Policy, and the specific method, cost and estimate for your order are shown at checkout for your destination before you pay.

8. Duties, taxes and customs

International orders are shipped on a duties/taxes unpaid basis (DDU / Delivered Duty Unpaid), except for any tax we explicitly calculate and collect from you at checkout — for example, UAE VAT, which is shown and charged separately at checkout for orders delivered within the United Arab Emirates.

Import duties, import VAT/taxes, customs duties, brokerage, clearance, handling, storage or other charges imposed by the destination country that are not expressly shown and collected by SparkleSkin at checkout are not prepaid by SparkleSkin and are the responsibility of the recipient/importer.

9. Your delivery address and information

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, contact telephone number, and any importer, tax or identity information legally required for your shipment to clear customs, and for reviewing all of this before you pay. Address corrections requested after an order has been dispatched may not be possible, and where a courier permits a change after dispatch, it may carry an additional charge from the courier that we pass on to you.

If delivery fails or is delayed because the information you provided was incomplete or incorrect, reshipping the order may require you to pay the reshipping cost.

10. Returns and refunds

Our Return & Refund Policy sets out what can be returned, how to request a return, and how refunds work. Cosmetics, skincare, makeup, hair care, body care and other hygiene-sensitive goods are, as a general rule, not eligible for return once opened, used, or once their seal or hygiene protection has been removed, always subject to the mandatory consumer rights described in that policy for goods that are defective, damaged, or not what you ordered.

11. Damaged, incorrect or missing items

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or not what you ordered, please tell us promptly — see the notification window and evidence we ask for in our Return & Refund Policy.

12. Promotions, discount codes and gift cards

Promotional offers and discount codes are subject to any additional terms shown with the offer, including which products they apply to and when they expire. We may withdraw, end early or change a promotion at any time, and may limit a promotion to one use per customer or household.

We may cancel or adjust an order, or decline to honour a code, where we reasonably believe a promotion is being used in a way it was not intended for, including by a customer using multiple accounts or addresses to claim it repeatedly.

13. Sparkle Rewards

Sparkle Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged outside your own account. Programme rules, earning rates and tier thresholds may change; where a change affects points you already hold, we will say so in advance.

14. Fraud prevention and account/order integrity

We may verify orders before dispatch, including by requesting additional identity or payment verification, and may decline, delay or cancel an order we reasonably suspect is fraudulent or placed in breach of these terms.

We may photograph or record the preparation and packing of orders, for quality control, fraud prevention, and to resolve shipping disputes — see "Order preparation and packing records" in our Privacy Policy for how these records are handled.

15. Intellectual property

The SparkleSkin name, logo, site design, original photography and written content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Product names, brand names and third-party product photography remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing here transfers any of that ownership to you, and none of it may be copied, reproduced or used commercially without our, or the relevant owner's, permission.

16. Prohibited use

You agree not to: use the site for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its systems; scrape, crawl or systematically extract data from the site other than through interfaces we provide for that purpose; interfere with or attempt to circumvent our fraud, security, or account-integrity controls; or abuse, threaten or harass our staff.

17. Sparkle AI, the Beauty Quiz and beauty guidance

Sparkle AI, the Beauty Quiz, our product recommendations and our articles give general beauty guidance based on the information you provide and our own product catalogue. None of it is medical advice, and none of it is a substitute for a consultation with a qualified dermatologist or other healthcare professional. If you have a skin condition, an allergy, or any health concern, please see a qualified professional before starting or changing a skincare, haircare or wellness routine.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SparkleSkin is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or a purchase from us, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for a breach of your statutory consumer rights.

19. Force majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these terms caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including customs or border disruption, carrier or courier network disruption, natural disasters, public health emergencies, strikes or industrial action, and similar events.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Where a change is material, we will make that reasonably clear on this page. The version of these terms in effect at the time you place an order is the version that governs that order; a later change does not apply retroactively to an order already placed.

21. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found by a competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.

Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any order placed through SparkleSkin, are governed by the laws of United Arab Emirates.

Any dispute arising from these terms or an order that cannot be resolved directly is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence that cannot be limited by this clause.
